Defence News
The Defence Hub is open every Wednesday at second break, and provides Defence students a space to mingle with other Defence students who share similar backgrounds due to their military lifestyle.
Defence students often experience the challenges of posting into or out of schools, or the absence of their Defence parent.
As the DSM at RVSSC, it is always heart-warming to see students form special friendships, and to watch them grow in confidence and thrive at the school. Many students who initially attend the Defence Hub, over time, visit less and less, as they find their own groups and identity at school.
This year, I will have the privilege of seeing some of my students who have been at RVSSC since 2020, graduate year 12.
Along with the rest of their cohort, these students have grown before our eyes into amazing young adults, ready to take the leap into the unknown, and forge their own paths in the world. In their own way, I am sure they will all make a positive addition to our future society.
