COMPETITIONS

In a fantastic display of talent and dedication, 42 students of which 15 girls of RVSSC have uploaded their entries for the Australian STEM Video Game Challenge and the Queensland Premier Coding Challenge. These young minds showcased their prowess by designing captivating computer games and mobile phone apps using Python and Animate CC focusing on themes like cyber safety, cyber security, sustainable futures, healthy living, and healthy eating.

What's truly remarkable is that these students volunteered their time and effort for these projects. Through their hard work, they not only honed their coding skills but also nurtured qualities of perseverance and responsibility, which are essential life skills. It's inspiring to witness the fusion of creativity and technology in their projects, reflecting their commitment to making the world a better place.

In the process, these students have gained a plethora of STEM skills, setting a solid foundation for future endeavours in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Their passion for computer coding has been ignited, and it's evident that these young RVSSC Coding Pilots are poised to make their way into STEM pathways in Australia.

We are also thrilled to share that three of our exceptional students have emerged as finalists in the Australian STEM Video Game Challenge. Their innovative projects have caught the attention of judges, and we eagerly await the results to see if they'll be crowned the winners.

This incredible journey of learning, growth, and innovation showcases the bright future of RVSSC students in STEM and Digital Technologies. We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements and look forward to their continued success in the world of coding and technology.

Keep an eye out for these young RVSSC; they are the future trailblazers in RVSSC STEM!
