I can’t believe that this term is almost to an end. There has been a lot that has happened but I know there is still more to happen.
Pastoral Care
As a school chaplain, my role is to provide emotional, spiritual and social support to the students and wider school community. One of the ways I provide support is with one-on-one pastoral care conversations. If you would like me to provide support for your child, please email me at katki121@eq.edu.au.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club finishes up this coming Tuesday for the term. It will start back up in Term 4.
R U Okay Day
Due to year 10 camp and other extra-curricular activities in week 10, the college is having our R U Okay Day Celebration on Thursday the 7th of September. There will be multiple activities that the students can get involved with.
Access: During Access the students will get an opportunity to write a compliment to a mate
First Break: There will be various activities such as Origami happening in the library
Second Break: Snow Cones and Cupcakes will be for sale for $3 each near the canteen as well as Karaoke near the top of the Raptor Dome.
Rock & Water
Rock and water has finished for the term. Thank you to all those who participated and I’m looking forward to the programs that are running next term.
Strength
Next term I will be running a boys group for year 9 & 10 students. If you are interested in this, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Love Bites
Early next term, Alicia and myself will be running a program called Love Bites for year 10 and 11 students. This program focuses on building healthy relationships and what we need to watch out for in relationships. If this is something that you think your child will benefit from, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Peer Mentor 2024 Applications
Peer Mentor Applications for 2024 will be open early next term. If your child is interested, in this role, make sure they keep an eye out on Daymap for the application.
SU Camps
Scripture Union Australia, the organisation that employs the chaplains here in Ripley Valley and in hundreds of schools across the country is also a camping organisation. If you are looking for something for your child to do over the holidays, please follow the following link.
