Science
Welcome back to Term 3!
We have another busy term of learning in Science over the next 10 weeks.
Our Year 7 students are studying Earth Science and are currently looking at celestial bodies (planets and moons). Students will have a research investigation and mini exam to complete to show their understanding of their Earth Science unit.
Year 8 and 9 students are exploring chemistry concepts including atoms and chemical reactions. This is usually a popular unit as it involves mixing chemicals together and using the bunsen burners. Year 8's will have an exam and Year 9's will have a student experiment assessment task to demonstrate their understanding of their learning.
Our Year 10 students are also studying Earth Science with a focus on climate change and global systems. They will also have a research task to complete for this unit of study.
Assessment calendars will be sent home in the coming weeks for students to plan their study routines for the term.
A reminder that if you require an extension for a task or are absent for exams due to illness to complete an Extension Request Form for your Head of Year to process.
We are looking forward to another term of learning!
