Staff Professional Development - Highly Accomplished and Lead Teachers
We are so excited to share that Ms Justine Bomm has recently been recognised as a Lead Teacher. Ms Bomm was one of the first Lead Teachers to be recognised in Queensland when the qualification was introduced 5 years ago, she recently went through the renewal process and her outstanding contributions to the teaching profession have again been endorsed. Lead Teachers are those who provide mentoring and support to their colleagues and demonstrate exemplary practice in the classroom.
At our College, Ms Bomm is working with a number of staff who are pursuing their Highly Accomplished Teacher (HAT) qualification. This support that is offered to our staff enhances their teaching practice by ensuring teachers have a significant depth of understanding of the seven professional standards that all teachers are required to demonstrate across a variety of levels. The Highly Accomplished level recognises staff who are supportive of their colleagues, modelling effective practices and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
