Defence News
The approaching holidays are a reminder that we are now halfway through the school year.
ANZAC SERVICES
Term 2 has seen two ANZAC Day services held at Ripley Valley SSC, along with an invitation for our Principal and Defence Peer Mentors to attend Ripley Central State School's very first ANZAC Day service.
Our Defence Peer Mentors, Jackson Sheen and Ben Coop, delivered a speech at the Providence ANZAC Day Dawn service that was held at the College, which was a very proud moment both for their parents and the College.
Our College ANZAC assembly was a moving tribute to our ANZAC's. The service was attended by representatives of the Ipswich Council and officiated by Royal Australian Air Force Chaplain, Wayne Ross, who delivered words of reflection and a prayer.
Our Defence Peer Mentors will be kept busy in the following two terms, with the upcoming commemorations for the Battle of Fromelles, Vietnam Veterans Day and Remembrance Day.THE DEFENCE MEMBER AND FAMILY HOTLINE
