Our College has a positive culture that promotes student wellbeing; instilling a sense of pride in our students.  This is reinforced through our House system that establishes opportunities for all students to contribute to College and community life.  The House structure is at the heart of our school culture and forms an integral part of how we maintain a supportive and inclusive environment.

College Spirit

I would like to take this opportunity to present our new House and Ripley Raptors Sports logo.  This logo will be proudly displayed when students are competing against sporting teams from other schools.  At the start of this year students collaborated within their House to select mascots and write their war cries during the House Day. Over the next 6 months we will be working with students and the P&C to design House shirts for staff and students to continue to promote House spirit.

Ripley Rewards program
It is important that we continue to acknowledge student success for both students that are learning at school and at home.  Students at school have been receiving stamps in their diary to to reward them for positive behaviour.  We want to ensure that students that are working from home also have opportunities to receive positive recognition.  With this in mind, teachers have been awarding points for students learning at home to recognise task completion.  Access teachers will stamp student diaries when they return to school.  Students can use the accumulated stamps to redeem prizes from the Ripley Rewards Vault.
It has been a challenging term for students as they have learnt to adapt to a new learning environment.  Students have risen to the challenge and have developed lifelong skills along the way such as problem solving, working independently and organisational skills.  These skills are transferable and will ensure that students are prepared for further study or work beyond school.  Students have also acquired other valuable skills such as communication skills and learnt how to advocate for themselves when seeking support.  The House Coordinators have been running weekly wellbeing lessons that focus on students developing effective study habits and staying healthy. Recently, our staff and students visited our new Sports Hall (AKA) the RaptorDome.  The RaptorDome will play an important role in hosting our future events and celebrations and become a proud part of the history and traditions of our College.

We look forward to the return of all of our students in the not too distant future.
