It has been a busy few weeks for the Performing Arts! We are right in the middle of assessment time with all of our classes working towards or having completed their first task. 

The Year 7/8 Dance Academy students have completed their theory task and are now moving onto their performance routine which has been entered into the Ipswich Combined Teachers Dance Festival in April.

Our Year 7 Dance students have either completed their theory or performance tasks. It is so great to see all of the students giving Dance a go and moving their bodies! The Year 9 dancers will be submitting their musical theatre routines next week whilst our Year 10's have worked on Hip Hop and our Year 11's on Jazz! Studying a range of styles provides our students with exposure to different techniques. 

The Year 7 Music students are submitting their responding tasks and very shortly will move onto performance where they will learn to play guitar. The Year 9's have completed their exam and are excited to be in the midst of their performance task. Our Year 11 General and Applied Music students are working on their first internal performance task. 

The Year 8 Drama students have submitted their performance of "Honey Spot" and next term they will move onto a children's theatre unit. The Year 11 class has just submitted their performance of "April's Fool".
