Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Carers,
It was a pleasure this week to formally present our student leaders with their badges of office at our annual Investiture ceremony. It was also a pleasure to have so many of our parents and invited guests attend this special occasion as the leaders made their pledges in front of our school community. I especially want to congratulate our Junior College Captains Gowrie Menon and Ellie Eastell who will lead us throughout 2023 and I look forward to announcing our inaugural senior college captains at our annual awards night later this year.
As we enter the middle phase of the school term I am continually impressed with the professionalism and dedication of our staff and the effort and attitudes of our students as they engage in teaching and learning. It is normal at this time of the term for students to feel a little anxious or stressed as they enter the assessment phase of their classes. For our year 7'S commencing high school and our senior students in particular, feelings of increased workload can feel overwhelming at times. I would encourage and student or parent if they have concerns regarding this workload and assessment process to contact the relevant teacher or administration officer so that we can help support your child during this time and adjust to these new expectations. We recognise that all people learn and respond differently to various situations and only by working together and communicating clearly can we develop positive strategies for moving forward.
Once again, I thank you for your ongoing support and partnership with the college and look forward to another great year at Ripley Valley State Secondary College.
Yours Sincerely,
