Welcome back sports fans,
2022 has been an awesome year for sport as we grow and become more of a competitive threat in our region. The sporting team at Ripley are looking forward to building our momentum in the sporting fields next year and into the future.
Awards Night
On the 19th October we held our annual awards night, with Sport taking up a sizeable portion of the evening. A testament to the dedication and work that our students have put into their sporting teams this year.
Junior & Senior Sportsman and Sports Women of the year
This award was awarded to the athlete who achieved the most amount of success in 2022. These awards went to:
- Max Backwell
- Jordyn Reid
- Kaylan Harris
- Ella Thomas
Sports Team of the year
This award was awarded to the teams who achieved the greatest amount of success in 2022. This year the award was given to two teams:
- 9/10 Girls Volleyball Team
- 7/8 Girls Futsal Team
Excellence in Sport Award
This award was awarded to the athlete who achieved the most success in their chosen sport outside of the schooling program. This award went to:
- Damien Hill
Ripley Athlete Development (RAD)
It has been a fantastic starting year for the Ripley Athlete Development Program. It has been great watching the dedication of students showing up every week to help develop their sporting skills. The last RAD session of 2022 will take place on Friday week 7. RAD will recommence term 1 week 1 2023.
