Year 7 Orientation Day:
Our Year 7 Orientation Day for our incoming Year 7, 2023 will be held on Friday 2nd December from 8:40am - 2:30pm. Please refer to the flyer below for important information pertaining to the day.
Parents of our 2023 Year 7 students will receive an email by the end of this week. Only students who have completed the following will receive an invitation:
- Returned their completed Enrolment Forms (not just the Expression of Interest)
- Attended, or are booked to attend an Enrolment Information Session
This is an 'invitation only' event and parents must complete the permission form to attend. Without this, the child will not be able to attend the Orientation Day.
Year 10 Work Experience 2023:
In 2023, our Year 10 students will embark on their first 5-Day Work Experience. Currently our Year 9's are completing a survey that will provide the school with specific information around what industry that would liked to be placed in. Students must provide three (3) preferences of Industries. It is important to note that finding Work Experience Placements in the "Health" side of things is extremely difficult at the present moment due to COVID. Whilst we encourage our students to have Health as a preference, we do remind them to be aware that they may not be placed there if Health is their first preference.
Our current Year 10's had a very successful first Work Experience. Here is some of the feedback we received from students:
- "It was great to gain real life experience in what a plumber does as a job."
- "I loved interacting with people from all different ages who were able to share specific information around why they chose their career."
- "I had a good time at work experience, it was nice to meet new people and engage in something I was interested in outside of school."
Students in Year 10 2023 will engage in Work Experience on the following dates:
- Week 10, Term 2, 2023
- Monday - Friday
- 9:00am - 3:00pm (please keep in mind that times may vary depending on requirements of the industry)
