Deputy Principal - Culture and Development
Much like the Melbourne Cup, Term 4 is galloping on by in a flurry of energy and excitement. With all the events ahead, it looks as though the pace is unlikely to slow until we cross the finish line on Friday 9th December. Some of those key events include: Creative Industries Showcase, Remembrance Day Ceremony, Transitions and Orientation Day, and the End of Year Rewards Trip.
Creative Industries Showcase:
The Creative Industries Showcase is the year’s biggest event for students in the Performing Arts. After months of rehearsal and preparation the students and staff are eager to show off their talents at this incredible event which will take place on the evening of Friday 4th November in the Raptordome. Best wishes to all involved!
Remembrance Day:
The College will be celebrating Remembrance Day on Monday 7th November in a Ceremony held in the Raptordome from 8:45am to 10am. Parents and friends of the College are invited to attend this important event in the school calendar.
Transition and Orientation Days:
As we approach the end of the Year the College reaches out to our feeder schools and invites Year 6 students to attend Transition and Orientation Days to experience life at High School. The Transition Day to be held on Friday 25th of November is designed to help students with substantial support needs to prepare for High School. Information about this day will be sent to feeder Primary Schools and can be found on our Social Media.
Orientation Day will be held on Friday 2nd December (Week 9). All future Year 7 Students are invited to attend this day and experience a range of activities to help them prepare for High School at RVSSC. Again, information about this event can be found on our Social Media pages and will be sent to all of our feeder Primary Schools.
End of Year Rewards Trip:
Finally, our end of Year Reward Trips are a perfect opportunity to celebrate the successes of the year and commend those students who have demonstrated the schools values of perseverance, respect and responsibility. Information about these events can be found in the graphic below:
