Excellence Academies:
On Friday 19th August we completed our last Excellence Academy trials where our Excellence Academy staff completed their final selections from the students who participated on the day. Congratulations to the students who will be a part of our Excellence Academies in Year 7 & Year 8 for 2023. A huge thank you to Mr Simmons (eSports), Mrs Starkey (Dance), Mr. Barclay (Ignite) & Mr Sharma (Football/Futsal) for their ongoing commitment to our Excellence Programs at the College.
iWonder Day:
On Wednesday 7th September (Week 9) our Excellence Academies will be involved in the Ripley Valley State School's iWonder Day. iWonder is a day where children starting Prep in 2023 and their parents/caregivers visit Ripley Valley State School to familiarise themselves with the Prep area and enjoy a morning of fun activities. We look forward to showcasing some of our Excellence Program's curriculum work, alongside engagement activities for these students. A special mention to students: Erin. B, Sophie. R, Matt. M, Leilia. E, Liam. M, Harrison. C, Nikau. K and Peppa. L who will be representing the College as a part of their respective Excellence Programs.

Year 8/9 Camp:
In Term 4 on Monday 28th November, students in Year 8 & 9 will have the opportunity to attend a Camp held at Emu Gully Adventure Group. In 2021, Year 9 students had a very successful camp and we look forward to seeing the 2022 students attend and enjoy just as much. The purpose of the camp is for students to develop exceptional leadership skills and participate in team building programs based on the character values of Courage, Mateship, Sacrifice and Perseverance.
Staff and students are looking forward to this. Please make sure you have completed all payments for this to secure your spot. Any further questions, please email Mr. Lynn on aklyn0@eq.edu.au.
