Careers Expo
On Wednesday 13th July the RVSSC students had the opportunity to engage in the Career Expo held on campus. This day provided student with an opportunity to engage with a range of industry stakeholders through interactive activities and conversations.
SET plans (year 10 students and parents)
Our Year 10 students are currently preparing for their SET planning which is a process designed to guide your child on a successful pathway throughout senior secondary and beyond Year 12 into post-school education and work. The aim of SET planning is to provide your child with the skills and knowledge needed to develop a genuine career pathway, and a life of personal choice.
SET planning involves the parent/carer, your child and the school working together to develop a plan for achieving success throughout Years 11 and 12 and beyond. You can support your child during the SET planning process by encouraging them to talk to family, friends and their teachers about potential occupations, career pathways, and education and training goals after Year 12.
Part of this process will involve a Parent/Carer Information Evening on Thursday 4th August and individual interviews between students, parent/carers and a member of the school leadership team on Wednesday 10th August. Please look out for communication regarding these events.
