Junior Schooling

Welcome back to Term 3!
This term see's some of our Junior Secondary students focusing on key events. These can be seen below:
Year 9 PPP:
A final reminder that on Wednesday 27th July between 12:00pm - 7:00pm in J Block (Level 2) our Year 9 student, parents/carers will be involved with the Year 9 PPP meetings. The PPP meeting focuses on students entering the senior phase of learning at RVSSC, including subject selections and expectations of them as learners of their future senior schooling.
All Year 9 students are expected to be engaged in this interview and interviews can be made via the parent portal of Daymap. If you cannot schedule your PPP meeting, please advise me via email and I will make this booking for you with your relevant HoD.

Excellence Academies:
On Friday 19th August we have our 2nd and final Excellence Academy Trial Day. With a successful first trial day, we invite all new and existing trialists back to our final trial date. If you were a part of the first trial, the day will run the same and you will not need to complete the registration form again. If you are a new trialist, you will need to register your attendance via the link below:
Additionally, a 2023 Expression of Interest form will need to be completed and submitted to Administration. This can be found via the website link below:
Curiosity Fair:
On Thursday 28th July, some of Science students will be attending Amberley District SS's Curiosity Fair. The fair is across the whole school and is focused around the curriculum areas of Science and Technology and how it will aim to inspire students. Our students will be presenting some of their Science experiments lead by Acting Head of Science, Mr. Tim Barclay and members of his team.
The Science Team have an idea around showcasing light boxes, colour spectrum's, reflection and refraction. They will also showcase or make their home-made lava lamps.
We are awaiting to see what interesting bits of curriculum the Science Team will showcase!
