Defence Week
Term 3 will see RVSSC's first DEFENCE WEEK. From the 25-29 July, the Defence School Mentor Program will highlight the impact the military lifestyle has on families of the ADF. Along with some lunch time activities, there will be a visual display in the library featuring personal stories from Defence Force families, highlighting the challenges they face when posting into new locations or being away from their families on long deployments. There will also be information about operations our ADF are involved in, and some historical facts about the Australian Army, Royal Australian Air Force and the Royal Australian Navy.
DEFENCE WEEK will be a great opportunity for the wider school community to learn more about the role the ADF plays in our local community, nationally and internationally, as well as what is asked of the families who support our Defence members.
