Extra-curricular Sport

As we grow as a school, our sports program will continue to develop as well. This year we are entering two new competitions in Term: 2

  • Vicki Wilson Cup is a netball tournament taking place on Wednesday the 1st of June. Students are currently trialling for a position on this team with Mr Coles and Ms Stiles. Training takes place Tuesday mornings from 7am – 8am.
  • Street-smart Tournament is an AFL tournament being held on Tuesday 7th of June. Students are currently training for this event with Ms Nugent and Miss McKendry on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3pm - 4.30pm. We are still seeking players for this event so please come along to training. If we do not get enough players by Week 2 the team will be cancelled.

It is really important that students are attending all training sessions sent out to them by their coaches. Before school training takes place generally between 7am and 8am and afternoon training sessions take place from 3pm – 4:30pm. If a student is unable to make a training session they are expected to email their coach or Mr Clifford 12 hours prior to the training session.

Ripley Athlete Development Program (RAD)

RAD is continuing this term on the oval. Students will be beginning to use the newly created gym from Week 2 and will have a focus on athletics training. Personalised training will continue if students aren’t interested in athletics.
