Pathways

Welcome back to Term 2! The Pathways Team look forward to a very exciting upcoming adventure with our students.
This Term sees our first Year 10 Cohort endure their first 4-Day Work Experience. Students will be out on Work Experience from the following dates in Week 4:
- Monday 9th May
- Tuesday 10th May
- Wednesday 11th May
- Thursday 12th May
Students are expected to be at Work Experience for the full duration of 9:00am-3:00pm (this may very depending on requires with their successful Work Experience Placement).
Please be on the lookout for any communication myself, Mrs. George or SCIPS (Kate and Phil) regarding any placement communications. We are expecting a whole lot of confirmation communications emails shortly. 
Excellence Academies:
Last Term, Our Excellence Academy staff visited two local feeder schools - Ripley Valley SS and Amberley District SS. We displayed what each Excellence Program offers to students and how they can be a part of such a wonderful opportunity. This Term will see us visit Deebing Heights SS and Raceview SS to showcase our Academies once again.

Community Open Day:
The RVSSC Community Open Day, being held on Saturday 7th May, will showcase all of our Excellence Programs with each Program putting their own specific spin to the local community members on why their student should be a part of their program, so make sure to get involved on the day. If you student is interested in being a part of the Trial Day, please see flyer below.

Careers Expo:
On Wednesday 13th July (Week 1, Term 3), the RVSSC students will have a unique opportunity to discover their passions and explore their talents. The Careers Expo is an event designed to provide the students with an opportunity to connect with future or potential stakeholders in an immersive and interactive way. Students will find out specific information about services and different industries. There will be a opportunity for parents/guardians to be involved in a Community Session that will run after-school. Please look out for communication via social media to find out more information.
