We all deserve respectful, safe and non-violent environments, so aggression and harassment of any kind—physical, verbal or otherwise—isn't acceptable.
When you interact with school staff, remember we're all on the same team to support your child. We all have your child's best interests at heart, and the best way to achieve a positive learning experience is to work together.
Families of teenagers (school year levels 7-12) are invited to participate in a trial of two group therapy programs designed to help teenagers manage emotions and relationship problems, like bullying or conflict. The programs will be offered in small groups by a therapist (psychologist) through Zoom (online).
This trial is managed by researchers who are psychologists and psychiatrists from QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and The University of Queensland. Please visit the website for more information and to express interest in participating:
Community Open Day to celebrate Reconciliation Week
Ipswich City Council are holding a Community Open Day to celebrate Reconciliation Week. The event is free. The day is a celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and knowledge, with a particular focus on environmental stewardship, food preparation, history and the cultural significance of the Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate area.
