Current Opportunities for Year 9 Students
Mas National is offering Webinar sessions to our current Year 9 students.  These industry specialists are presenting a series of 3 free webinars aimed at parents, students and related stakeholders in relation to further education and career pathways.  They are keen to share their knowledge on career options that are available to finishing students, particularly in this COVID climate. 
 
Session dates: Wednesday 13th October, Thursday 14th October and Tuesday 19th October.
 
You can attend one or all sessions:
 
• Webinar One – Career Options available to you
• Webinar Two – Focus on Apprenticeships and Traineeships
• Webinar Three – Girls Can – Trade Up!.
 
Overall, they will be looking at:
 
• Tertiary Education
• Apprenticeships and Traineeships
• Employment Opportunities
• How to get started on your career pathway
• Up to date job search techniques
• Q and A session

HOUSE PROJECT 2022
Apprenticeships Queensland (AQ), in conjunction with training partner TAFE Queensland, is excited to announce the next project house for Certificate I in Construction, a work ready program for school students.

Students will be exposed to a live construction site and be involved in the renovation of the property. Students will experience the importance of:
• attitude
• initiative and enthusiasm
• work ethic and reliability
these are all attributes our host businesses are looking for in new start apprentices.

KEY POINTS OF THE PROGRAM:

• students attend 1 day per week (excluding school holidays )
• students and schools select day between Monday to Thursday
• start at 7:30 am and finish at 2:30 pm
• training split between AQ Training Centre at 292 Brisbane St, West Ipswich and 10 Flint Street ,North Ipswich 
• parents/guardians responsible for transport - Project site is is a short walk from buses at Riverlink shopping centre.
