Welcome back to Term 4 for 2021. This term is a very busy one for RVSSC staff, students and their families. Halloween, Remembrance Day and all the events associated with the end of the year and Christmas, promises to keep us all very busy.  

This term, the key focus for ADF students and their families is Remembrance Day. It is a memorial day that is observed in Commonwealth member states to mark the end of World War One and to remember those have fought and died in all Wars over time.

It is a time to reflect on what that means to us both as individuals and as a community, and to pay our respects to those who gave so much so that we may live freely.

Remembrance Day services will be held all around the Ipswich area including the RSL Ipswich Sub Branch.  This Service will be held at:

Service Commences at 1030 hrs   

Ripley Valley State Secondary College will also hold it's own service if families of the school wish to attend. Guests are asked to arrive at 0830hrs for an 0845hrs Service start. More information will be provided closer to the date.

Towards the end of Term 3, we held our Coffee and Chat, which was held at the Providence Splash and Play.  We were lucky to have Brienne Gibbs, from Mates4Mates, (which is supported by the RSL), come along and provide information about what support this organisation offers to both currently serving and ex-serving ADF personnel.

By becoming a member of Mates4Mates (which is free) there are a multitude of workshops, support groups and activities that are available.
