Chaplain
Chaplain News
What a month it has been. I hope you have all been looking after yourself during this uncertain time. During times of uncertainty, it is important for young people to communicate how they are feeling. That is my role here at RVSSC. I am here to provide social, emotional & spiritual support for everyone here at the college. If you want me to provide support for your child, please contact me at katki121@eq.edu.au
Rock and Water
Rock & Water is in its third week and I want to thank all the parents who have agreed for their children to participate. We have gone through what Rock & Water is, as well as looking at different ways we can be physically aware of ourselves and what is happening in our own bodies. Rock & Water will continue to run until November.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club is back and operating every Tuesday and Thursday. If you would like to help out with this please don’t hesitate to ask me.
SU Camps
Scripture Union Queensland, the organisation that employs the chaplains here in Ripley Valley and in hundreds of schools across Queensland is also a camping organisation. If you are looking for something for your child to do over the holidays, please follow the link. https://sucamps.org.au/?season=spring
Youth Alive
Youth Alive is a gathering of local church youth groups from all across Ipswich and the greater Ipswich area. They are having their next regional event on Friday the 17th of September at Cityhope Church here in Ripley. It starts at 6:30pm and finishes at 9:30pm. If this is something you think your child might be interested in, you can register them for the event by following the link:

Term 4
For the first 2 weeks of Term 4, I am away at different Professional Development Courses which we hope to implement in 2022. Please watch this space for information about these programs. Whilst I am away and if you feel that your child needs additional support please contact the school so that someone from the SSS team can assist.
Take care
