Homework Centre

Homework is an important part of every student’s education but finding time to help students get their homework completed can be a challenge for busy families.  To ease the burden on families, Homework Centres will be established in up to 120 State Schools across Queensland.  Homework Centres are an initiative to support good study habits.

I am pleased to announce, that as part of this program our College has been selected to run a Homework Centre.  The Ripley Valley SSC Homework Centre will commence in Week 3 of this Term.  The Ripley Valley SSC Homework Centre will operate every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 2.45 -4.15 pm.  The Homework Centre provides a suitable environment where students may complete their homework before they go home from school.  Students may complete their homework tasks under the supervision of Teacher Aides after school.  Personalised tuition or academic counselling is not provided.  The Homework Centre may be attended by any students at Ripley Valley SSC and participation is voluntary.  A healthy snack will be provided to students that attend the Homework Centre.
