Year 9 DMT class have made Ukulele using wood working techniques such was wood bending, shaping and joining recycled timbers with hand tools and using Laser machine.
In Food Studies this term, students in Year 8 have been designing and making their very own ‘twisted toppings’ for addition to a traditional Pizza shop. We have experimented with different ways to make pizza dough and trying different fillings to find the perfect flavour combinations.
Students in Year 9 have been looking at diet-related disorders and how the food we eat can affect our health and wellbeing. We looked at how we can more effectively choose healthier food options and then made dishes which could be added to a café or restaurant which promote better food and health choices.
Year 8 Visual arts have explored endangered animals to develop their drawing skills
Here is Ngozi's beautiful sketch of the red wolf, of which less than 30 remain in the wild In North Carolina (as such they're critically endangered.)
