From Week 1 to Week 8 of Term 1, the Blue Edge program was conducted for a collection of students of Ripley Valley State Secondary College. The program incorporated physical activities and exercises along with mental health development sessions. The program was engaging and let students utilise perseverance as they participated in tasks throughout the week.
It ended with an excursion to the RAAF base which was fun and engaging as we got to witness and see what life was like for people who work there. We also got to explore and learn about an aircraft. We saw it up close and went inside to see the many cool features it incorporated. We finished our day off with a nice pizza lunch at Forty West Café and a prize distribution.
As a thank you and an Award for students who participated in the program, New Balance shoes and a Blue Edge certificate were awarded to the group of students. Students certainly enjoyed the shoes and the delicious lunch. They surely enjoyed the 8 week journey and look forward to Blue Edge coming again next year.
