Welcome back to Term 2. After the delays of COVID-19 lockdown at the end of Term 1, we are looking forward to holding our Interhouse Cross Country and Rewards Afternoon event. This is a great way for the school to come together and create House Spirit and enjoy the rewards of an excellent Term 1. Both these events will be happening Friday 23rd April. The Cross Country carnival will take place during Periods 1 and 2, with the Rewards Afternoon during Periods 3 and 4. 

Coming up later in the term we will be taking our Year 9 Leaders to the 'Talkin’ it up' Mental Health Forum which is an opportunity for them to head out into the local Ipswich community, represent the school, meet peers from other schools and get involved in an excellent cause. More leadership opportunities will be available for other students later in the year as we have booked in the Ylead team to come back again for the second year, this time to work with our grade 8’s. Mr. Anthony Lynn is currently developing a program for boys leadership which will be released later this term. Our SRC has developed a plan for the year and have decided to have a focus on Student Wellbeing. This term they will be offering some lunch time activities for students to engage in so stay tuned for further details.

Year 9 Camp has now been advertised and information has been sent home to parents and carers, please check your spam folder in your inbox, also with information being released via the schools social media page. We are excited to take this group of students out for the very first camp that RVSSC has seen. Students will be spending three nights at Emu Gully and will participate in a range of activities to develop team and personal skills.

We look forward to working with your students in Term 2, with all these exciting events taking place.
