Guidance Officer
This term we have a number of wellbeing events and programs running to support out students.
In week 2, our Traction Program will be up and running. Six students have been selected to take part in this practical mentoring program that involves designing and building a BMX bike. This is an evidence-based program designed to support and encourage students to engage in their schooling and life in general.
On the 6 May we will be holding out Final Edge Celebration, which is a culmination activity of the Blue Edge Program that was held in term 1. Students will be heading out to the RAAF base for a tour and will finish with lunch at Forty West Cafe.
On Wednesday 19 May we will be holding our whole school Wellbeing Expo, which will run during session 3 that day. Exhibitors from organisations including Headspace, Anglicare, Deadly Choices and sporting groups will be attending to provide students with information and resources on supports in the region.
Families and students are welcome to access support staff (Guidance Officer, Chaplain, Defence School Mentor) by emailing the staff member directly or making an appointment at the office.
We are looking forward to a busy term!
