QTAC Presentation, Next Steps Interviews & University Open Days
Next week, I will be delivering a QTAC presentation to our Year 12 ATAR students to guide them through the university application process. This presentation will cover how to apply through QTAC, how to order preferences strategically, and key dates to be aware of.
Following the presentation, all ATAR students will be scheduled for individual Next Steps interviews with a member of the senior schooling team. These sessions are designed to ensure students have selected and ordered their QTAC preferences in a way that maximises their chances of receiving a suitable offer.
Several students have also enquired about QTAC vouchers to waive the standard $70 application fee. I can confirm that the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) will be offering QTAC vouchers at their Open Day on Friday, 9 August, for students who list UniSQ as their first preference on their QTAC application.
Attending Open Days is a wonderful opportunity to visit campuses with your high school-aged student, ask questions, and support a smooth transition between school and university. These events can help students refine their preferences and feel more confident about post-school options.
