Deputy Principal - Teaching and Learning

Head of Goolman House

The beginning of Term 4 sees some changes to our Teaching and Leadership teams. At the end of Term 3, we farewelled Ms Lauren Tull (Head of Goolman House, Maths, Science and HPE). Ms Tull was an integral part of the foundation of Ripley Valley SSC and was travelling a significant distance to be at our school each day. Due to this, Ms Tull has relocated to a school closer to her home. We thank her for her time and efforts at RVSSC and wish her well at her next school.

Mr Riley Stewart has joined our teaching team to teach Ms Tull's classes whilst we are recruiting a permanent replacement for the Head of Department position. During this transition time, I will be performing the duties of the Head of Goolman House. Most Goolman students are already familiar with me as I have been supporting them all year as their Deputy Principal. If your student is in Goolman House and you require support with wellbeing, attendance, assessment or assistance with contacting teachers, please contact either myself (epren3@eq.edu.au) or James Dunn - House Coordinator Goolman and Perry (jdunn232@eq.edu.au).

Preservice Teachers

This week we have welcomed three preservice teachers from USQ to our school. Mr Adan Cameron, Mr Michael Munro and Mr Joseph Allison will be completing their placements at RVSSC over the next three weeks. As a College, we believe that it is important to invest our time and energy into supporting our future teachers and modelling lifelong learning and collaboration with our wider community to our students. We know that our College community will welcome them and assist with their ongoing education during their time with us.

Term 3 Report Cards

Interim Reports were issued for all students during the last week of Term 3. These report cards indicate your child's progress half way through Semester 2. If you wish to discuss any aspects of your student's Interim Report please contact teachers directly via email, Daymap message or phone the College Administration. There are no further opportunities for Parent Teacher Interviews in 2020.

If you have not received your student's Report Card, please email administration@ripleyvalleyssc.eq.edu.au and a copy will be issued. Please remember to check your Spam inbox as the Reports are issued automatically from One School.
