Welcome Back!
Welcome back to another wonderful year at Ripley Valley State Secondary College! I hope that you all enjoyed a relaxing break and have returned excited and energised for the year ahead. To our new Year 7 students, I hope that your transition to High School has positive, and that you are starting to find your place with the College. Remember to seek help if you need it by asking one of the many friendly staff who are here to support you.
The first week has already involved a myriad of different events and activities to start the year – and several more are on the horizon. Our first day back was marked by our Welcome Parade, where we greeted new staff and students to the College, and distributed Senior Jerseys to our Year 12 students. Thanks to all those parents and special guests who attended and helped to celebrate this important event in our school calendar.
Throughout the first week all students were inducted into the Ripley Way – unpacking our expectations and processes, as well as our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Perseverance.
The end of the week will culminate in House Day, where students will develop their sense of belonging and competitive House spirit by participating in a range of House based events and activities. Students were also introduced to their Year Level Teams, including their Deputy Principal, Heads of Department and Year Level Coordinators. The contact details for these Year Level Teams are provided below for your convenience. Please feel free to reach out to us as you need.
