Science
Welcome to term 4 for science!
This term our year 7's are studying a physics unit about forces, while embedding indigenous perspectives. Year 8 is also studying physics with a focus on types of energy. Year 9 will be learning about human body systems and DNA.
Year 10 biology, chemistry and physics will experience their first exam block this term. Year 10 science in practice are analysing data about climate change, while year 10 psychology will be conducting memory experiments on other classes.
Our year 11 science practice class was successful in their cheese making journey receiving an award for first in their category at the RNA cheese in schools competition.
We also have a busy term with our year 11 biology students off to Jacob's Well in week 3 for their mandatory fieldwork. Students will survey abiotic and biotic factors in different locations to determine the effect abiotic factors have on organism numbers.
Keep an eye out in the next newsletter for some great pictures from the term.
