Welcome to Term 4! This is always a busy, and quick, term for our cohorts with our seniors starting to finish the year from Week 7 onwards. In addition to a lot of our celebratory events happening in Term 4, this term is also spent preparing for 2025. Information is below for all things happening in the coming weeks.
TRY A TRADE DAY
Building Industry Training (BIT) are hosting a Try a Trade Day on campus this Friday 4th October. A number of students have signed up to this event to trial working through a number of different trades to help explore & confirm their desired pathway moving through their senior years and into the workforce. We look forward to seeing students enjoying this experience.
WESTEC TRADE TRAINING CENTRE
There are a number of events happening for WesTEC this term, including:
- 4th October (Period 4) - BKSB Testing for all 2025 applicants
- 4th November - 2024 Graduation Ceremony
- 19th & 20th November - 2025 Information Evenings
More details will be sent to families regarding the above events in the coming weeks.
If students are interested in applying for WesTEC for 2025, they are still accepting applications but please be advised that most courses are full so applications would go onto a waitlist should an opportunity become available.
OTHER PROGRAMS IN 2025
Applications for courses at TAFE and UQSkills are now available for 2025. There are a range of courses available with these providers at various locations. If there's a course you're interested in studying, please see Mr Gerchow or reach out to pathways@ripleyvalleyssc.eq.edu.au for assistance.
