Welcome back to Term 4! It has been wonderful to have our students back in classroom engaging with their learning.
Pedagogy Updates
Throughout Term 3, I have had the privilege to complete a whole wide review on our pedagogical approaches. These pedagogical approaches inform how we develop, implement and review our teaching programs and learning experiences for our students. The passion and expertise of our staffing community always impresses me and I look forward to sharing our pedagogical approaches for 2025-2028 after we have completed this review and drafting phase.
Year 10 Updates
- A reminder that the last day for Year 10 students this term is 22nd November (end of Week 8).
- I would strongly encourage you to sit down with your child and discuss their pathway options that we all discussed during SETPlan meetings. A large number of students were not eligible to particular senior subjects due to not meeting a pre-requisite. I would strongly encourage you to review these choices with your child and do some goal setting if they are needing to improve results to be eligible for certain subjects. Right now is the time to have these discussions as they can have the greatest improvements early in the term. We are also very happy to have these discussions with you and/or your child. Please don't hesitate to contact the College and ask to speak with the Year Level HOD or myself.
- A reminder that we strive to uphold high expectations on student uniform. Please ensure that you are aware of the uniform policy and support your child upholding the details within this policy. These can be found on our website or in the student diary.
