Continuum of Engagement

The PBL Team are currently working with staff and students on the Continuum of Engagement model, which is based in educational research conducted by Dr Amy Berry, Doug Fisher and Nancy Frey. This re-imagining of engagement provides a new vocabulary for teachers and students, and enables students to recognise the natural patterns and fluctuations in their own engagement. Hopefully, this process will also empower students to participate more fully in their learning by reflecting on the strategies that help to improve their engagement in the classroom. Continuum of Engagement Model – Fisher and Frey (2020)

Awards Evening:

Preparations continue for the Annual Awards Evening, which will take place in Week 3 of Term 4 on Wednesday 16^th of October. A core component of this event includes celebrating students who have received: Raptor Awards, Special Awards, Subject Awards and those who have been elected school leaders for 2025. Invitations to this event will be sent out early next Term to the families of students receiving awards on the night.

Pathways to Success Expo Update:

Unfortunately, due to a lack of engagement from external agencies, the Pathways to Success Expo that was due to take place on Thursday 12^th September has been cancelled. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

Ripley Rewards Trip:

Thanks to the 240 students who have submitted their Ripley Rewards Applications this Term. Year Level Coordinators are currently cross checking this list and will be in contact soon to confirm those students who will have the opportunity to attend the Rewards Trip to Ice World! Invoices will be sent home in the coming days regarding this event.
