It has been great to get out to our classrooms in the last few weeks as we rapidly approach the halfway mark of the term. There have been heaps of great learning experiences on show in both the classroom and at lunchtimes or after school with trainings and competitions running as usual.
My particular highlights were seeing Mrs Ballschmieters Year 9 Food Specialisations class preparing various nachos dishes.
We also had some recent training sessions run by Jake of Rugby Union Queensland as part of the Sporting Schools funding we received this term as part of a sport engagement grant.
Jake has attended the last 3 weeks on Tuesday to run lucky HPE classes and any students interested at lunch time through the basics of Rugby Union.
We are hoping to take both u13 and u15 boys and girls teams to the Try 7's SEQ competition coming up in week 10 this term.
Trainings will be Tuesday at second break for boys and Thurdays at second break for girls.
Assessment time is upong us again with drafts being due from next week onwards so please remind students to check their daymap for dates to ensure all assessments are submitted on time.
